Lahore Qalandars easily overcame most of the teams under the captaincy of their talismanic Shaheen Afridi, and they will be feeling confident, whereas Peshawar Zalmi are coming off a victory as well against their rival team Karachi Kings.

The target for Lahore Qalandars to chase is 208 runs.

Peshawar Zalmi Vs Lahore Qalandars Head to Head

Now that Shaheen Shah’s opening spell is a treat to watch, Peshawar Zalmi have to cope with the early strikes by Shaheen Shah Afridi. Babar Azam, in the last match between these teams, was bowled out with a peach of a delivery by Shaheen Shah Afridi. So, today also, it is a great task for Peshawar Zalmi to restrict Lahore’s batting and also score some runs against their bowling.

What’s My prediction (no Calculations Whatsoever Just my 6th Sense Lets see) ?

In the last five matches between these teams, Lahore Qalandars won four matches over Peshawar Zalmi, while Peshawar Zalmi was only able to win a single match in the last five matches between these teams. The teams are evenly matched, therefore there will be a tough competition.

The most recent meeting between the two clubs took place on February 26, 2023, in Lahore during the 15th game of the current PSL season. Lahore handily trounced Peshawar despite making a strong overall effort. The mood was set by the host team’s hitters. Shafique and Fakhar delivered outstanding performances, and Billings’ comical presence was the icing on the cake. Finishing 242 was always going to be challenging for the visitors.

After seeing the head to head record it is very certain that Lahore has a good chance against Peshawar Zalmi, their bowling is the best in the whole tournament with Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, Rashid Khan in spin department and. Shaheen Shah Afridi their superstar.

My Prediction for the match is : Lahore Qalandars to Win

The Result ?

Peshawar Zalmi won by 35 runs.

The game is over in the first few overs of Lahore Qalandars Innings. Zalmi triumphed by 35 runs. The three batsmen from Zalmi who stood out were Saim Ayub, TKC, and Babar Azam. Their bowlers also provided strong defence. Wahab and Arshad each claimed three wickets, but Saim really ended the game with the bat by scoring 68 runs in 36 balls with 8x4s and 3x6s and establishing the pace for Zalmi.

Things appeared a touch shaky at the halfway point because Peshawar failed to play their required number of overs. Nonetheless, Peshawar bowled superbly early to nearly win the match. They took quick wickets to apply pressure. But Talat and Shaheen eventually reached their fifties, giving them a slim chance. Raza also had a brief cameo role, but it came too late. The best bowlers who were able to pick up three-fers were Arshad and Wahab. Lahore has suffered a second defeat. The two points would be a huge boost for Peshawar.
