These Teams last met in the Final of PSL 7, where Lahore Qalandars Under the Captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi won the Match and the PSL 7 Title. Both teams are strong for this year PSL again, but much will obviously depend on the fitness level of Shaeen Afridi for the Qalandars is he fully fit for the whole tournament? The Sultans team has strong batting lineup where the openers likes of Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood starting the batting for the Sultans.
