Babar Azam Chooses Between BBL Or IPL

BBL or IPL Babar Azam’s Statement

BBL or IPL,In a recent podcast, Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam was asked to select his personal favourite between the Big Bash League and the Indian Premier League (BBL or IPL). While Babar hasn’t played in either league, the Men in Green’s run-machine selected BBL over its Indian equivalent, and he explained why.

The right-handed batsman added that because the playing conditions in Australia differ greatly from those in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he considers it more difficult than the IPL, where the wickets are more or less identical to those in Pakistan (BBL or IPL).

”The conditions over there in Australia are different. The pitches over there are really fast and you get to learn a lot. Whereas in IPL, you get the same Asian conditions,” Babar said Peshawar Zalmi’s podcast (BBL or IPL).

In the current season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Babar-led Zalmi qualified for the Playoffs after ending with 10 points from 10 matches, five wins and five loses.

They defeated Islamabad United in the first eliminator, but lost to the Lahore Qalandars in the second eliminator, and the Lahore Qalandars eventually went on to win the PSL 8 tournament.

In terms of personal performance, the 28-year-old has been the team’s greatest run-scorer this season, with 522 runs scored from 11 innings at an average of 52.20 and a strike rate of 145.40, with a high score of 115. Despite his huge figures, commentator Simon Doull chastised him for slowing down while reaching the three-figure mark, particularly during his hundred against Quetta Gladiators.

Despite the fact that numerous Pakistani players have featured in the Big Bash League both now and in the past, Babar Azam has yet to play in the BBL. In terms of the IPL, no Pakistani player has played since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

Babar Azam entered his name in The Hundred draught for 2023 earlier this month. He has set a reserve price of £100,000 for the draught.

This statement about BBL over IPL caused havoc in India and their star bowler harbhajan singh wrote a laughing emoji on babar azam statement in his twitter post.
